Roasted Peking Duck

Beijing roasted Peking Duck is the epitome of Beijing cuisine and is well known both at home and abroad. The dish is mostly esteemed for the thin, crispy skin, with authentic versions of the dish serving mostly skin and little meat.

Dare to gobble down a Starfish, Scorpion or Grasshopper on a stick? Frog legs and worms are also on the menu at the downtown flee market.  eeeehhhhh... I dare you to try it.

  1. China is a must do for any world traveller! So HUGE and diverse. Beijing was a real eye opener - great food, the Great Wall, wonderful history and culture! VERY hot and humid in the summer, so would recommend visiting in October/November.
